Italian Fashion Wholesale, Sourcing Guides & Market Intelligence

The Italian Fashion Sourcing blog is where we document what we see, learn and think from inside the Italian wholesale market โ€” season after season, showroom after showroom.

Every article in this section is written with a single question in mind: is this genuinely useful to a buyer making real decisions? That means no trend forecasts detached from commercial reality, no generic guides recycled from other markets. What you find here is grounded in what is actually happening in the Prato pronto moda district โ€” which categories are moving, what prices look like, how logistics work, where the margin opportunity is in any given season.

The content covers the full range of what boutique buying from Italy involves: sourcing strategy, pricing and landed cost, supplier access and vetting, seasonal trend intelligence, and the operational mechanics of getting an Italian wholesale order from brief to your warehouse door. There are also case studies documenting real buying projects โ€” actual briefs, actual selections, actual commercial outcomes.

If you are sourcing Italian womenswear wholesale and want substance over style, this is where to start.

Cashmere blend knitwear for your fall-winter racks Cashmere blend knitwear for your fall-winter racks, straight from Prato.

This vendor has a deep range in wool and cashmere blend: crew necks and turtlenecks, polos and cardigans, fitted or relaxed shapes, solids and stripes. Every style comes in several colorways, so you can build a whole story on one rail.

The print buyers keep asking for this season is argyle. Here youโ€™ll find it on vests, jumpers, cardigans and even a cute mini skirt set, with bigger prints too if you want something bolder for the window.

Donโ€™t skip the accessories. Gloves, hats and scarves come in the same blend, and the capes are selling really well right now.

Want to shop this vendor? We run live buying sessions straight from the showroom, with no minimum purchase. Send us a DM and weโ€™ll set yours up.

This line is a 50% wool blend, lined and a bit heavier than the pure wool coats. You get Italian outerwear you can put on the rail at a more accessible retail price.

The long coats come in burgundy, black, beige, dove and grey. Thereโ€™s a short selection too, with zip jackets in ribbed knit, hooded parkas and bomber-style coats.

If you buy both lines in the same session, youโ€™ll have two price levels on the rail and everything ships together in one order.

100% wool, handmade and unlined. Light to wear and 100% wool, handmade and unlined. Light to wear and still properly warm.

These are the premium coats from one of the Prato showrooms we work with. The long styles come straight with a double-breasted front, or as a two-button robe coat with a belt. The short ones range from a classic pea coat to a belted jacket, a hooded parka with an inner drawstring and a sporty zip bomber. Some pieces have cashmere inserts.

The colours are mostly neutral. Grey is the one buyers ask for first, and thereโ€™s pastel pink and white if you want a softer rail.

This is the line for customers who buy on fabric and can feel the difference. We show it to you live on video from the showroom floor, you choose sizes and colours with us, and we take care of everything after the order.

Thereโ€™s no minimum purchase per session. Book your interview through the link in bio.

Tomorrow weโ€™ll show you the wool blend line from the same supplier.

Trench coats and parkas in a full colour range. Funnel neck jackets and zip jackets. A genuine leather capsule with biker jackets and leather bombers. Satin bombers for early autumn, cream and black, plus a denim bomber covered in sequins.

Silky viscose sets that you can take apart and rebuild: the shirt with wide trousers, the same shirt with a skirt, or the identical fabric made up as a dress. Pleated bombers with a matching pleated skirt. Belted dresses that run from powder pink to deep burgundy.

Everything is mix and matchable, comes in three sizes, and every piece can be bought on its own. So you build the assortment your customers actually buy, not the one the supplier decided for you.
