AUTUMN/WINTER 26/27 WHOLESALE SOURCING

Source Italian Autumn/Winter Fashion Wholesale, Direct From Prato

Prato's pronto moda district is one of the largest wholesale hubs in Europe. Hundreds of warehouses, no public directory, and no easy way to tell which supplier has real stock ready to ship. We give you the contacts and the access to move through it with confidence.

WHY GOING IT ALONE FALLS SHORT

Sourcing Italian Autumn/Winter Wholesale Alone Is Harder Than It Looks

Prato’s pronto moda district is one of the largest wholesale hubs in Europe, and that scale works against you when you’re on your own. Hundreds of warehouses, no public directory, and no easy way to tell which supplier has real stock ready to ship versus which one is only showing samples you’ll never actually receive.

Buyers who go it alone lose days walking the district with no map, no introductions, and no leverage on price. Even the ones who find good suppliers still have to handle export paperwork, customs, and shipping from every vendor separately.

This is exactly the gap we close for the boutiques and resellers we work with, right through the Autumn/Winter season.

NOT A CATALOGUE — A QUALIFIED PARTNERSHIP

Wholesale Access Built for Serious Buyers, Not Everyone

Italian Fashion Sourcing has spent six years building direct relationships inside the Prato district. We don’t publish a catalogue and we don’t sell supplier lists. Every collaboration starts with a short qualification interview, because our wholesale access only works when we understand your market, your budget, and your style first.

We work with a limited number of buyers at a time. This isn’t a constraint we apologise for: it’s what lets our buyers give you real, dedicated attention on the warehouse floor instead of spreading themselves across hundreds of accounts.

If you’re a boutique, e-commerce, or reseller serious about bringing Made in Italy Autumn/Winter collections into your store, this is where it starts.

FROM INTERVIEW TO SHIPMENT

How Wholesale Sourcing With Us Works

Step1Free Interview

We listen to your market, your budget, and the styles you're after.

Step2Tailored Shortlist

We research the right wholesalers or factories and prepare a shortlist built specifically around what you told us, not a generic catalogue.

Step3Session or Production

We schedule your purchasing session or set up the technical specs and timeline for private label production. From here, you're buying or producing with a partner on the ground, not guessing from a screen.

Step4Customs & SHipping

All purchases from different vendors are united into one single invoice. This way you don’t have to manage multiple payments or shipments. You simply pay once and receive one consolidated parcel containing your entire order. We also handle all the customs documentation and logistics, making the entire process smooth and stress-free.

SOURCING THROUGHOUT THE SEASON

What to Expect Across the Italian Autumn/Winter Wholesale Season

Autumn/Winter is when Prato’s warehouses fill with knitwear, wool, and outerwear, and we run purchasing sessions throughout the season, not only at its start. Whether you’re building your first drop in early autumn or restocking best-sellers deeper into winter, the district has range to work with.

September to November is the district’s peak, when wholesalers carry the fullest selection and factories have the most capacity for private label production. Later in the season the offer naturally narrows, and some categories like wool or cashmere outerwear may move to residual stock, but sessions remain available and worthwhile well beyond the peak.

What we won't do is promise a delivery date before we know your order, your destination, and your payment timing. What we will do is keep you informed at every step, from invoice to pickup to shipment. Italian public holidays and the August factory closures can affect timing, and we'll always flag these in advance when they apply to your order.

Common questions

Autumn/Winter Wholesale Sourcing: Questions Buyers Ask

Can I run a purchasing session at any point in the Autumn/Winter season?

Yes. We run sessions throughout the season. September to November is the district's peak, with the fullest range of knitwear, wool, and outerwear, but sessions remain available and productive well into winter, including for restocking best-sellers.

Is there a minimum order for an Autumn/Winter purchasing session?

There's no minimum purchase per session, only a minimum commission of €250 per working day. Individual wholesalers set their own minimums, typically €300–€500 per warehouse with 2 to 12 pieces per style.

Can I still order wool or cashmere coats later in the season?

Yes, though later in the season some outerwear may be available as residual warehouse stock rather than active collection pieces. Availability is wider earlier on, so it helps to tell us your outerwear plans during the interview.

How long does shipping take after an Autumn/Winter session?

Timing depends on how quickly payment is completed and on factors like Italian public holidays or destination customs requirements. Once full payment is received, your order is checked, packed, and consolidated into one shipment as quickly as the season's logistics allow. We'll always flag any delays specific to your order in advance.

What's the minimum for a private label Autumn/Winter collection?

Private label production requires a minimum order value of €3,000 and a minimum of 100 pieces per style, with samples produced and approved before full production begins.

Who handles customs and shipping?

We do — entirely. All customs documentation, export paperwork, and logistics are managed by our team. You receive one consolidated shipment with a single invoice, and we follow your order through to confirmed delivery.

Why do I need to pay within 24 hours?

Italian pronto moda is a fast-moving market. Suppliers hold reserved stock for 2–3 days maximum. The 24-hour window is not pressure — it's how the market works, and it protects your selection from being sold to someone else.

How does stock availability work?

Stock availability depends on the current supply situation of each supplier. Sometimes we arrive at the beginning of a new supply, so there is a wider availability of products, styles, colors and sizes. Other times we arrive towards the end of the supply cycle, and quantities may be more limited. For this reason, stock cannot be guaranteed in advance: we verify the real availability directly during the sourcing session, with the selected suppliers.
